day eleven | where I sleep | 25 minutes later, all was well again. I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her arms from flailing as I forced/begged/bribed her to drink apple juice followed by a carb-laden lunch. now it’s naptime. she’s happily counting her fingers while I smile + nod thinking “what was THAT?!?!” #dayinthelife #type1 #diabetes #janphotoaday (Taken with instagram)

Why, hello!
My name is Tamara and I'm the proud mama to one Isla James, my soft haired, bright eyed, inquisitive toddler who also happens to be a recently diagnosed T1 Juvenile Diabetic. As you can tell, I'm pretty smitten with this addition to our family, and tend to share it all — her health + wellness management, her growth + change, things we love + do — here. I'm also a professional newborn + day-in-the-life documentary photographer (Eh! Good Looking | Children's Photography Boutique) or (Whim + Whistle Archival Co.) and a former magazine editor and (still sometimes) writer. You can win my heart always with a dozen salmon roses — sushi or just salmon pink petals. And if you find something funny, share it. I love a good laugh.
Ask me anything
